The chairman of Imo State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, His Eminence, Apostle Dr. Iheanyichi Ibeji, has advised Christians to register massively in the on-going voters’ registration exercise in order to obtain their permanent voters cards, PVCs.
Apostle Ibeji who made it clear that politics is not dirty but that some individuals in it make it seem dirty, also said he was opposed to Christians not joining hands in seeking elective positions in politics.
Apostle Ibeji opined that Christians’ participation in politics would make it possible for God-fearing individuals to run the affairs of our country and state. He also called on those already registered to go for revalidation.
The Imo CAN boss therefore charged church leaders to galvanize their various denominations through announcements and where need be, sanction those who fail to comply.
He tasked church leaders to ensure that the exercise does not fail in their various denominations.
